Trout Fishing The Spring Season

Trout fishing during the spring season provides trout anglers with some of the best action of the year. The spring season brings change to all living things including trout. Trout begin to feed more aggressively because of temperature changes and insect hatches as well as other baits becoming available to them again.

If your spinning for trout in line spinners and spoons seem to be on of the best lure choices, as well as small Rapla type minnow baits. Of course live baits will also produce good numbers of trout during this period. I personally favor Rooster Tail spinners, they have become my weapon of choice on spring trout.

Jigging for trout is not to be over looked either. A small bucktail jig can work wonders while trout fishing, when no other bait or lure does. Tip the bucktail jig with a small minnow and you’ve got yourself a deadly tout killing combo bait!

Trout in many lakes will be suspended during the spring period, using a float tipped with live bait, for example minnows, will entice these trout to bite. Which brings up another deadly spring trout fishing technique, trolling. If your fishing a lake for trout, trolling can be a very effective way of covering allot of water and locating trout.

Trout fishing the spring season is a wonderful experience, besides the great fishing action, being out there with nature while she is waking up from her winter slumber is an experience like no other.

Good luck and enjoy the best trout fishing of the year this spring.
